If you are having trouble with the BB Sessions App

Tim Davis  4 January 2011 21:06:04
We have had a few people reporting errors when trying to reload the sessions with this year's data in an existing install of the app. If you are suffering from this, can you try reinstalling the latest App World version from Jan 2010? It should be the one called 'LSMobile' and not 'Sessions09' which was the previous year. The 2010 version should work ok in 2011, but the 09 version won't.

If you still have trouble, just let me know in the comments.

@Giuseppe: The app does use a http call to get the data, so you will need to allow it the permissions to do this when prompted. Also, it relies on the MDS on the BES server to handle the traffic, so it may be that the BES/MDS isn't allowing it to route this. The domain of the hosting server is lotusphere.turtleweb.com, if that helps.

@George: Hm, I will check the entry on App World to make sure it is all correct. I can see it on my BB, but I guess that's no help to you.

LSMobile appears to be not supported on 9800s (BB Torch) so I can't download from AppWorld. Any plans to fix this? Thanks!

thanks Tim, I think what you wrote clears it:

I'm with a BIS account so it can't work.

The app does not show up in the store for me neither, maybe because my BB (Torch) is not supported? The app is available over the web browser but the installation then fails.

BTW, the app does not show up for me when searching AppWorld from device. It does show up when searching AppWorld on the internet but after I sign up with BlackBerry ID it says the app is not supported for my BB Torch.

Are we all seeing the same problem?

If I remember some info I got at WES2009 last year, app world on a blackberry will only show apps that can work on the version of the OS that you are running. What version is it set to run on?

For all those people waiting for the Torch 9800 version, we have one ready to install OTA here: { Link }

I'll also do a new post about it.

Download the jad for the Torch and receive the Module LSMobile attempts to access a scure API error.
